Twitter’s reaction to Scottish Independence debate

The great argument on Scottish independence kicked off last week. A live debate between Alistair Darling, who’s pro-union, and Alex Salmond, supporting Scottish Independence, got the public talking about the issue on social media.

The think tank Demos analysed the response to the debate on Twitter, which attracted some 104,000 Tweets in total. General consensus was that Twitter followers felt neither of the MPs were keen to answer a direct question, and had an all round negative view of the debate.

Girls Who Code, is a national nonprofit organization working to close the gender gap in technology and spread the word that girls can code too. They have inspired companies like Google to focus on the positive and develop training schemes to grow and inspire talent.

Gen Z however, is now being redefined as the generation of the undead by an immersive theatre group, New Zealand Season. Generation of Z is a new theatre piece currently playing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which picks up on our culture’s love of zombie movies. The play uses immersive theatre, which makes the audience part of the play. Loosening the boundaries of audience etiquette, allowing them to scream, run, shout and pretty much lose their minds. While critics aren’t convinced, the Twitter reviews displayed on the Edinburgh Fringe Festival website say otherwise.

His strange endorsement of the Facial Fitness PAO, a product that works out your facial muscles, went viral last week. Ronaldo seems to be loving the product without actually using it, causing much amusement at Ronaldo’s half hearted attempt at product endorsement.
