October's 5 most viewed video ads

By Stefano on 3 November 2011

So we've now entered November, where pre-mature Christmas invitations fill your inbox and decorations are spreading around London. But let's not forget that October was only a week ago, where temperatures hit a record high for the near-winter month. We've put together 5 video ads from last month that have hit the viewer-millions or hit the headlines, without any specific order. Sit back and enjoy!

Feel free to send us any cool videos!

Michael - Sony's PS3 Long Live Play

We love how some of gaming's iconic characters are put together in one room to discuss epic stories about Michael, who turns out to be us, the gamers. You'll discover a new character after every re-watch. This video hit over 10 million views on the official Sony YouTube channel.

Introducing Siri - Apple iPhone 4S

Apple gets all the headlines, so you might think this doesn't count in terms of its 'viralness', but all Apple did was post this on YouTube before watching it spread like wildfire. It's one of the first official video that highlights the company's latest big feature.

'Wunderfull Stuff' - Muller

Launched during X-Factor three weeks ago, this add has it all. Iconic characters, music and fun. The German dairy company spent £20 million on this nationwide campaign, creating a lot of deserved buzz and mentions across the advertising press. Who doesn't enjoy seeing their childhood characters all dancing around London?

Battlefield 3 TV ad & Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

This month is a good month for gaming. Two of the biggest FPS franchises in history competed head-to-head to become the best shooter of all time. EA's Battlefield 3 and Activision's Modern Warfare 3 totalled over 6 million views for their launch trailers that launched only two weeks ago! If you include their online-only videos, you'd be hitting well over 9 million total views in just a few weeks.
