The report comes at a time when one of the largest package holiday operators has announced a Covid-19 testing kit for just £20.
TikTok is More Popular with Gen Zers Than Instagram.. in the US
TikTok is about to have more than 37 million Gen Z monthly active users in the US compared to Instagram which has 33 million. Instagram, which was once seen as the hipper sibling of Facebook, now has an aging demographic. Snapchat still leads the way, however, with 42 million users.
Twitter is Joining Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA)
Twitter is joining the likes of BBC, Microsoft and Adobe on the C2PA steering committee to help increase transparency and trust in online content. Twitter wants to work establish industry standards to add "signals of authenticity into the web" and combat misinformation.
Pinterest Will Test Livestreamed Events
Pinterest is responding to the global rise of live-streamed shopping events by live events to its arsenal. Initially, the new feature will be tested with 21 creators and will gradually expand to the rest of the platform. Pinterest told TechCrunch that initially the streams will allow up to five guests and unlimited number of viewers.
